The idea of Sudanese Soul is to raise awareness of the two beautiful countries: the Republic of Sudan, and the new Republic of South Sudan. We give the public at large a centralized access to information - on both North and South Sudan. And we educate the public so that they are capable of discussing about the two countries.
Our work is based on many pillars: we provide you a combination of news, background reports, blog entries, music and works of art. With that we actually give you an insight into the soul of the both countries and their people. The best and easiest way to learn how Sudanese Soul works would be to discover our work. Why do you not get your inspiration from us? |

"[South] Sudan is not really a country at all, but many. A composite layers, like a genetic fingerprint of memories that were once fluid, but have since crystallized out from the crucible of possibility." Jamal Mahjoub, a Sudanese novelist

"A hungry fox stole into a hen house at night and ravenously ate all of the hens. After, as it was so pigged out, it went away only to come across a lion whose own stomach was rumbling. In order to increase the lion’s anguish, the fox told it gloatingly about a rather fat and well-fed donkey living on an island in the Nile. While the lion was thinking about the fox’s words, it looked at the sly fox. 'Tell me you clever fox, is the donkey as fat as you?' the lion snarled as it slowly approached. The fox backed away and, shaking with fear, swore the donkey would be as fat as itself. Yet all was in vein as, scarcely stammering the last word, the fox was grabbed and, oh the horror, stilled the lion’s hunger with its lying tongue." (South) Sudanese fable
